RED COATS, INC . was founded in 1960 by current Vice Chairman William F. Peel, and President Barbara K. Peel. Corporate headquarters are in our own mid-rise office building in Bethesda, Maryland, with regional branch offices in Baltimore, Florida, Richmond and Durham/Raleigh under the leadership of the Executive Vice President, W. Mack Wells, Red Coats, Inc. consistently maintains the leadership of the custodial service industry throughout the mid-Atlantic and Florida regions.

From our beginnings in 1960, with several small accounts and a staff of only twelve employees, Red Coats, Inc. has grown to now provide professional custodial services to approximately 80 million square feet of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional space on a daily basis. To accomplish the services required by our extensive and varied portfolio of customers, our staff has now grown in excess of 5,000 well-trained, personnel. The corporation also maintains affiliate companies providing security and other property management related services. Our professional services have assisted our customers in areas such as maintaining institutional accreditation and achieving numerous quality awards, including several Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Building of the Year awards. Red Coats is committed to increasing levels of professional quality in our industry, and is active in many trade organizations toward this purpose.

Our Baltimore office which is now located at Symphony Center, 1010 Park Avenue, Suite 100 and was started in early 1990. We currently provide services to over 2.5 million square feet of commercial space in metro Baltimore. Our experienced Baltimore based management staff provides this rapidly expanding market with the standard of professional, quality oriented custodial services.

Richmond , Virginia

Our Richmond office is located at 2117 Lake Avenue. Started in 1991 this regional office with experienced Richmond based management staff provides services to over 5 million square feet in the Southern Virginia region, stretching from Roanoke to Virginia Beach.

Durham / Raleigh , North Carolina

In 2008 a good customer made a request for us to open an office in the Research Triangle area to service their accounts. Our office is located at 2500 Meridian Parkway, Suite 170 in Durham. Our Triangle based experienced management staff provides quality custodial services to 1.5 million square feet not only for our original customer but also to a growing number of customers in the Triangle area.

Tampa , Florida

In the mid-80’s Red Coats expanded its custodial service operations into the rapidly growing Tampa, Florida marketplace. Emphasis was made that the growth policy for our Florida region would be one of “strict, controlled” growth. Currently Red Coats provides custodial maintenance services for approximately 2 million square feet of commercial and institutional space in Tampa. Our experienced operations management and staff headquarter at 101 East Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa is positioned to continue to expand in this fast developing region.
